With a first-of-its-kind modular design, you can customize the surface with the modules you need to match your current workflow for the greatest cost efficiency, and scale the surface—horizontally and vertically—as your business grows. Choose a pre-configured S6 M10 or S6 M40 surface with the options you need or, with S6 M40, customize the surface even further with different channel control combinations.

S6 features high-speed EUCON Ethernet connectivity, enabling the surface to communicate directly with Pro Tools and other EUCON-enabled DAWs and provide a deeply integrated experience. Control up to eight audio workstations and media applications simultaneously anywhere on your network—even systems across the facility—with incredible responsiveness. And because S6 features truly networked communication, it’s easy to configure, scale, and reconfigure the surface at whim

Take intelligent control of Pro Tools

Pair S6 with Pro Tools and you gain the Avid advantage of faster workflows, extended visual feedback, and unique features to accelerate your efficiency every step of the way. From recording tracks and assigning and editing plug-ins, to viewing scrolling waveforms (on S6 M40 surfaces with a Display Module), writing automation, recalling snapshots, and more, S6 offers the Pro Tools integration that only Avid can provide.

Intelligent studio control

In addition to Pro Tools, S6 provides the flexibility to extend your mixing control to Logic Pro, Nuendo, Cubase, and other EUCON-enabled DAWs. This enables you to mix multiple music and/or audio post projects created on different audio workstations simultaneously, and easily switch out sessions in seconds—all from a single control surface.

Extensive visual feedback

S6 offers unprecedented visual feedback, enabling you to monitor every facet of your mix. From top-lit status knobs and the master touchscreen, which can display tracks, meters, panning, and other visuals, to color OLEDs and high-resolution screens at the top of the console that provide full channel names, processing graphs, Pro Tools waveform scrolling, and more, you get the critical visual insight you need to mix with complete confidence and speed.
